linux 2.6

Quick question,  I'm switching our beowulf nodes from redhat (2.4
kernel) to suse (2.6 kernel).  Currently, we're running gm 1.5.2 on the
nodes.  That version won't build againt the 2.6 source from suse.  The
web pages at myri.com are a little unlcear, one page says that should
be supported under 2.6, but when I click on the link it only specifies
2.2 and 2.4, but gm 2.x lists 2.6 as a supported kernel.  I really
didn't want to have to upgrade everything to 2.x at once, is there some
version of 1.x that is supported against 2.6 ?
