It really depends on your cluster size and what your NFS server can
handle. It's certainly easiest to have one shared directory (for
reading) but remember that on first startup, every single node will load
the shared libgm which is around a meg. 100 nodes, no problem. 2000
nodes, probably not the best idea.

But if you have a couple hundred nodes or less, a shared dir for these
is probably the best.
