Hi Users, we have bought a new SMP-I64-Server running RedHat EL 4 and a myrinet M3S-PCI64B-4 card. We have also some Alpha-WS with the same kind of Myrinet-Cards connected on a M2000-switch. The Alpha-WS running Tru64-UNIX and the gm-1.5.x (last rerleased version of gm for Tru64). First I have tried to build the gm 2.0.x on the RH system. Software and driver was build right (I think). When i run the gm_board_info i got the following output: GM build ID is "2.0.19_Linux_rc20050224170029PST [email protected]:/myrinet/gm Thu Apr 7 14:53:14 CEST 2005." Board number 0: lanai_clockval = 0x082082a0 lanai_cpu_version = 0x0900 (LANai9.0) lanai_board_id = 00:60:dd:7f:64:cc lanai_sram_size = 0x00400000 (4096K bytes) max_lanai_speed = 134 MHz product_code = 110 serial_number = 88179 (should be labeled: "M3S-PCI64B-4-88179") LANai time is 0x01823aa1c ticks, or about 3 minutes since reset. Mapper is 00:60:dd:7f:64:cc. Map version is 2736939. 1 hosts. Network is fully configured. This node is "v23cluster5.fem.bam.de" Board has room for 16 ports, 6644 nodes/routes, 65536 cache entries Port token cnt: send=61, recv=253 Port: Status PID 0: BUSY 29147 (this process [gm_board_info]) 1: BUSY 29091 Route table for this node follows: gmID MAC Address gmName Route ---- ----------------- -------------------------------- -------------------- - 1 00:60:dd:7f:64:cc v23cluster5.fem.bam.de (this node) (mapper) But no information of the other cards at the switch. I havn't also no myri0 device (ifconfig) for the Myrinet-Card. Then I have read the Information that I must have the same software-level of the gm- Software. So I downloaded the gm-1.6.5 for Linux (2.4 Kernel), but we are running Kernel 2.6.xxx. I got an error at the ./configure execution: checking GM version... "1.6.5_Linux" checking driver to use... Error: no include/linux/autoconf.h in the /usr/src/linux tree My question is: What can I do to work my Alpha-WS and the new IA64-Server together? Thanks in advance, Cetin Haftaoglu
