According to the following article:

the final version is expected in Summer 2006.

 From various other resources, Cat-5e, if deployed at all, will certainly
be limited in length.  The maximal distance rumored is 45m.

10GBase-T to 100m appears now to require "Cat-6a" or Cat-7 cabling.

Myri-10G chips have XAUI interfaces, and all 10GBase-T chips that we
are aware of convert between XAUI and some form of 10GBase-T.  Thus,
Myricom has the technical capability of supplying 10GBase-T components
whenever PHY-conversion chips at reasonable power levels become
available.
