Okay ... on Debian squeeze (nagios-plugins 1.4.15):

$ /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -H www.juleica-antrag.de --ssl -vvv
GET / HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: check_http/v1.4.15 (nagios-plugins 1.4.15)
Connection: close
Host: www.juleica-antrag.de

HTTP CRITICAL - Error on receive

On Debian wheezy with latest git (d4c5730464) snapshot:

$ /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -H www.juleica-antrag.de --ssl
HTTP OK: HTTP/1.1 200 OK - 6188 bytes in 0.587 second response time |time=0.586868s;;;0.000000 size=6188B;;;0

I guess this is fixed now. If this problem is still persistent, please reopen this bug.
