Problem in Installing nagios plugin 1.4.16

Dear Sir/Madam,

            I am trying to install nagios plugin 1.4.16 while I am
configuring with command
            ./configure I have hanged  here       checking for ps syntax...
            I have also tried this command


./configure --with-nagios-user=nagios --with-nagios-group=nagios
--enable-redhat-pthread-workaround

but still I am stucking please help me what to do.
