Hi,

just to document this in case someone is in eed of it some day, we
hacked together a quick and dirty adapter that transfers monitoring data
over e-mail and feeds them into Nagios/Icinga/wahtever NSCA talks to.

=46rom the use case description:

"We needed a way to record system performance data of some very remote
customer systems for a bug analysis, and we needed these data in our
central monitoring system. The very remote systems did not allow any
incoming or even outgoing traffic, but we had access to a mail gateway
allowing to send outbound system mail.

Thus, we hacked together a quick and dirty set of scripts generating a
mail message of system data on the one end and parsing it and feeding it
to NSCA on the other end."
