RE: problems with np-setup npdistd (new net-policy version)

1) So ps shows it missing, right?  Then it certainly died.

yes: ps -ef | grep np-distd : shows nothing

2) What version of all the software (opensnmp and net-policy) are you
running now?  You were considering multiple things last time I checked.

Newest CVS version, from HEAD tag:

net-snmp: cvs from 03-31-2004
open-snmp: cvs from 04-04-2004
net-policy: cvs from 07-04-2004

I give up with net-policy-before-mayor-dbchange, I was receiving
segmentation faylts problem everytime I ran np-distd to distribute the
policies, so I decided to test the new version of all the source codes:
net-snmp, open-snmp net-policy

3) here are some test I ran so you can check, I notice that the np-distd
deamon stay like frozen, and when the system try to stop it, it has to kill
it, forcing it, not stopping it normally, check this:

Note the this last test I had to stop it with ctrl+C, it never ends, so in
some way the deamon stay in a loop infinity or something like that.

Please let me know what else can I run to discover more things, so you can
help me discovering what's happening

So ps shows it missing, right?  Then it certainly died.

You may have to run it in the foreground instead of using the service
scripts and see if it dies and you can get a core file.

What version of all the software (opensnmp and net-policy) are you
running now?  You were considering multiple things last time I checked.
