RE: problem installing netpolicy

Wes, as I told you I don't have the path /usr/lib/mysqlclient.so/a/whatever
you mention , I have mysql installed in Red Hat Linux 9, I need to know if
you or somebody has installed net policy in Red Hat 9, I'am having this
mysql problem when I run the ./configure from netpolicy and I receive the
message

configure:2805: checking for mysql_real_connect in -lmysqlclient
configure:2836: g++ -o
conftest -I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.1/include -I/usr/local/include  -I/usr/lo
cal/BerkeleyDB.4.1/include -I/usr/local/include  -L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.1
/lib -L/usr/lib/mysql -L/usr/local/lib
 conftest.cc -lmysqlclient  -lz -ldb_cxx -lpthread -lcrypto -lsmi  >&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient

please let me know what refers to -lmysqlclient , I have the mysql client
libraries but the software doesn't find them, the libraries I locate are:

/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10.0.0
/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10
/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient_r.so.10.0.0
/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient_r.so.10

Need to know if this is a problem of a path reference, please really need
your help on this matter
