possibly dumb question about the policychange table

So I'm cruising along doing the client reset/delete (not
charging to SMIP, though, of course ;-) and what I do
is remove entries for a given client from policychange,
then in the case of reset, put said entries back in
policychange.

but then I got to thinking, the "mode" in policychange,
is this add or delete? I just see "1" being put in there all
the time, which seems to mean "add". Should I really be
adding a row to policychange with a mode that == "delete"
instead of taking out a row that says "add"? See, I'm
doing all this without np-distd running (usually), because
I haven't needed that until now. But it seems to me that what
will happen in real practice is that the rows saying "add" will
soon disappear from policychange (when the action happens?)
and what I need to do is add a row that says "delete". (And then
in the case of reset, another "add".... hmmm, will these happen
in the right order? hmm....)

True? Or am I missing something here?
