Wes, regarding on the perl dependencies I notice something when trying to
install net-ploicy rpm:

first I install the net-plosiy-perlmods rpm you have there, no problem here
then I tried to install the net-plicy rpm, and I received this:

perl(anydata) is needed, ok I loo for it and then I receive a new message:

perl-modules rpm is needed, great I look for it and then againa a message:

perl-test-harness is needed, great again I look for it and I received:

perl-devel-corestack >=1.3 is needed, again I look for it and when I tried
to install it it says: conflicts with perl-5.8.0-88 at this point I don't
know what to do, please need your help here

There must be a way to avoid all this dependencies(I think) any idea?

Wait for your answer

Thanks

Ramon

libsmi is the only one that you shouldn't have rpms for. everything
else should be available via rpms. For libsmi, you'll have to rebuild
(and thus recreate a "new" /usr/local)
