Maybe we should wait a few days to let the dust settle? Although I 
regret the acquisition of github by Microsoft, I'm not sure we have a 
good alternative. As far as I know github has a much better 
infrastructure than any other open source hosting site. If in the future 
github would become inappropriate then we can move again. It's not that 
hard to move a git repository. Moving the wiki pages is not that easy 
unfortunately.

The optimist view is that Microsoft may well realize that any changes 
that the open source community will perceive as evil will cause a mass 
migration away from github and hence that they will refrain from such 
changes.
