snmp-response form a source_ip

does snmpget (with netsnmp library) compare the src IP of the source
ip of response pkt to the dest IP of the request packet?

I have made changes for snmp response from a source ip, but on
verifying the changes am getting a timeout error.

How can we verify the changes without a timeout error.
