Using net-snmp 5.2.1 on FreeBSD 4.10 and 5.4 installed from ports.

I am trying to send snmpd logs to syslog using priority 4
(LOG_WARNING) and facility 4 (LOG_LOCAL4). I do this with the command:

snmpd -LS 4 4

It doesnt give any errors, but continues to log to the default log
file and not syslog. If I use the command:

snmpd -Ls 4

It logs to syslog as facility 4 as it should. The default priority of
5 is too noisy for my liking and I would like to use 4.

What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
