Re: What am I missing (traps/notifications)

Sorry about that. Its net-snmp 5.2.1. My snmpd.conf is very simple:

sysdescription "Example description"
syscontact "[email protected]"
syslocation "exampleNetwork"
rocommunity "public"
trapcommunity "public"
trapsink "192.168.0.x public"
trap2sink "192.168.0.x public"
authtrapenable 1

These are the errors I'm trying to figure out. (Thx for the "-d" tip
btw)... apparently I missing something when I'm trying to compile.


# cat /var/log/snmpd.log

NET-SNMP version 5.2.1

What I'm trying to do (and apparently missing the point) is to have as
small an agent as possible that will allow only basic traps and "system"
information (location, contact).
