Starting it with the -Dkernel_sunos5 it will hang for a while before I get "Timeout: No response". At this point, net-snmpd is no longer running. I have even set the timeout to 30 seconds with the same results.

Without the -Dkernel_sunos5 things are happy.

/var/log/snmpd.log contains this:
