uclinux net-snmp-5.2.1.2 memory fault

I have compiled net-snmp-5.2.1.2 for uclinux running on arm940T platform
(used 
cross-compiler arm-elf-gcc). 
 
The snmpd can be started without arguments on the target, but i doesn't
respond to 
any snmp-queries. If the snmpd is started on the target with any arguments
(but -h 
or -v works) it exits with code 1. If i pass a snmpd.conf file using ./snmpd
-c ./
snmpd.conf the snmpd also terminates with code 1. Invoking snmpd with
./snmpd -d -Ln 
-f leads to a memory fault. 
 
It makes no difference if i execute the snmpd on the flash-memory or on the
ramdisk. 
The snmpd.conf file is ok. The configure-script i used to generate the
Makefile is 
attached at the end of this message. 
 
I dont know why the snmpd is running (but not working) without arguments and

terminating if arguments are passed... Anyone got an idea or good diagnostic
methods 
whats going wrong there? 
What does snmpd need to run on different platforms (configs, libs(dynamic
linked), 
paths,...) - is the binary itself enough to run successfully?
