It was complaining about libcrypt so I ended up running: /usr/bin/crle
-u -l /usr/local/ssl/lib to resolve the issue. Now I'm on to some
problem with UDP port 161. I've previously commented out the Sun 8
snmpdx and dmi entries in /etc/rc3.d and have since then rebooted the
server and verified that only net-snmpd is running. I dont have any
config entries relative to this port in snmpd.conf.
# ps -aef | grep snm
root 2054 1 0 13:10:59 ? 0:00 /usr/local/sbin/snmpd
root 2061 2020 0 13:11:02 pts/1 0:00 grep snm
# snmpget -v 1 -c whatever localhost sysUpTime.0
Timeout: No Response from localhost.
# /usr/local/sbin/snmpd -f -L
Error opening specified endpoint "udp:161"
Server Exiting with code 1
net-snmp version 5.1.3.1
