That sounds suspiciously as if you're picking up a pre-installed version of the SNMP agent - probably the one that comes as part of RedHat. See whether "rpm -q net-snmp" shows anything installed. Alternatively, have a look at how you configured the source tree when first compiling the software. If you explicitly specified a prefix of /usr, then the agent will be looking there. But the more likely explanation is that you're picking up a RedHat-supplied agent, rather than your own compiled version.
