truncted response data

Hiya,

I'm in the process of trying to get Solaris package information from
net-snmp (5.2.1), including the package version. I was previously only
getting package name (hrSWInstalledName), but it seems the package
version was not available in the MIB (?)

It's probably not the best method, but to get around this, I added two
'exec' statements to snmpd.conf, pointing to very simple perl scripts,
that [when polled] returned a each package names each as a string, and
package versions (also a string) - examples at bottom.

The problem I'm seeing is basically that the information returned is
never complete, it seems to truncate roughly half way through. e.g the
sever has 221 packages installed, but snmp response for package names
only shows to about 115, and package version only gets to 68.

I'm fairly certain this is due to a buffer size limit, or cache limit,
but I'm not sure where it would be increased. I have bumped up some
limits the configure script had options for (plus I tried a few in
various header files, that I can't remember), but none worked anyway, so
they're all back to default.
