Hi all, I've read through the snmpd.conf man page a few times, and I can't figure out how to enforce that users connect to my agent via encrypted & authenticated SNMPv3. Currently, I have a fairly simple snmpd.conf: __________________________ rouser joe_username auth .1.3.6.1.4.1.bla.bla.bla createUser joe_username SHA joe_password AES __________________________ The problem is that I can walk my agent specifying SNMP v1 or v2, and all my data is transmitted in plain-text without any user/password authentication. Can someone tell me what I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any help! ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list [email protected] Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users
