questions about sub agent

Hi I have one question about sub agent. I'm developing and testing sub-agent program in my linux server. Is it possible for sub-agent to communicate with Master agnet(net-snmp Master Agent) which is in other machine or different ip address without changing any code? And if I should change code please let me know the way how to.
