Nope, it wouldn't.
The pass-through mechanism was developed in SNMPv1 days,
so only supported SNMPv1-style types (and errors).
It's never been updated to take account of the SNMPv2
extensions.

You're probably better off looking at using an embedded
perl or C-based implementation.
