+ Several scripts (or several links to the same script), and use
  the name of the invoked script to determine which host to query

For example

     $ ls -l /usr/local/snmp2http/hosts
     lrwxrwxrwx  .....       host1 -> ../script
     lrwxrwxrwx  .....       host2 -> ../script
     lrwxrwxrwx  .....       host2 -> ../script

     $ head  /usr/local/snmp2http/script

     #!/usr/bin/perl
     $remote_host = $0;
         <etc, etc>
