Help on AlarmSynchronizations

Hi,

We are using Net-SNMP 5.1.2 version and new to SNMP. We have implemented two
subagents to monitor two of our nodes.We are using Net-SNMP agent as master
agent.

Our requirement is to support activeAlarmTable according standards X.733 or 
RFC3877 alarmMIB.


In our case whenever a node has gone down a notification should be send as a
raise alarm 
and It should also be added to the ActivealarmTable.

And when the particular node is up a clear alarm should pop-up to clear the
previously raised alarms from the activeAlarmTable.

We are able to send normal traps from subagents to SNMP Manager through the
SNMP Agent. But It is not clear for us in implementing the activealarmTable in
SNMP agent.

So, our basic requirement is to support alarmTable implementation for raise and
clear of alarms through Net-SNMP agent. Is this alarmtable implemenation and
operation will be similar to normal SNMP table implemenations ??

We are using a third party SNMP Manager to display the alarms.

If anyone can give us some inputs on this it will be very helpful for us.
