snmp trap handler issue (net-snmp-5.3.pre4)

Hi there,

I stumbled across an issue today, which might be of interest to you
as well... ;-)

What I am using on our box here is basically a SNMP trap handler
chain to inject traps into Nagios, i.e. snmptrapd => snmptt =>
sec => nagios.

With Net_SNMP version 5.1.2 everything is working nicely, except
the fact that there must be a memory leak somewhere (but traps 
are handled correctly, anyway).

So, to get rid of the memory leak, I gave version 5.2.1.2 a whirl,
but again there is a memory leak, which grows when traps come in.

At last, I tried the ultimate version 5.3.pre4, just to find that
there is no memory leak any more - but also no trap handling. 

I toyed around with all versions for a while (re-installing and
testing back and forth), but the results are always the same.

To get something meaningful into the hands, I started snmptrapd 
(version 5.3.pre4) like this:

strace snmptrapd -On -p /var/run/snmptrapd.pid   -P -t

And, voila, I can see incoming traps.

Then I look into the SNMPTT log file, where the traps are logged,
but to no avail.

The snmptrapd.conf file is always the same, namely:

traphandle default /opt/opis/sbin/snmptthandler
--ini=/opt/opis/etc/snmptt.ini

Now I am unsure whether the whole affair is due to a lack of RTFM
on my side, or some magically missed configuration.

In short, I got stuck at this point, and would be more then
happy about any ideas/hints/help someone could give me.
