RE: problem while doing SNMPGET on newly added mib(BRIDGE-MIB)

Hi
I used dot1dBridge only for snmpget
and no error in ./configure also
snmptranslate is also giving results
I am getting the following error
Error in packet
Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB.
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.272.4.8

I copied dot1dBridge.c & dot1dBridge.h files in agent/mibgroup.After
installation from where it refers those files ?Or i am somewhere wrong in
this

Is it like i have to configure using --with-enterprise option in ./configure
.
or some other solution if u can provide me .i am really stucked in this .

Hey,

1) first thing, at least in your mail you have an spelling error which
might cause that,(Uppercase B in:  --with-mib-modules=dot1dBridge)
2) Check for errors during the ./configure
3) Try 'snmptranslate -IR [NodeName]' to see if you MIB was compilied in
correctly.

I am new to NET-SNMP .I am facing problem when i perform SNMPGET on
dot1dbridge(Bridge-Mib).I did following steps
1 .I included the dot1dbridge.c & dot1dbridge.h file in /agent/mibgroup
2. i configure using the command  ./ configure --with-perl-modules
--prefix =/home/visakha/snmpinst  3. make 4.make installl

all were successful .but when i do snmpget -c public 10.9.10.195
.1.3.6.1.4.1.272.4.8 .it giving MIB not Inlued error


Please tell me the mistake i am doing while doing this .any other thing
need to be set .
