error installing perl: can't locate OID.pm and autosplit.ix

During the command perl Makefile.PL the script searches a file OID.pm and a file auto/NetSNMP/.../autosplit.ix. The problem is that under /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl I miss the directory NetSNMP. My Perl installation is incomplete or I have to install  another package to provide this directory?
I have installed perl 5.6, is it too old? 

Anyone can help?
