Hi,

I've got net-snmp(5.2.2) installed on redhat (2.4.20-28.7) and run snmptrapd
thru the command below
"snmptrapd -c /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf -On -f -Le".The
/etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf has a simple traphandle as
"traphandle default /home/nkaranuk/trap-received.sh" ,where the
trap-received.sh sript just displays a message on screen, executes fine
independently.
The case happening here is the when i send the trap thru command
bellow "snmptrap
-v 1 -c public localhost .1.2.3.4.5.6.8.9.6.0.6 localhost 6 17 ""
SNMPv2-MIB::sysLocation.0 s "Just here"" on same m/c with snmptrapd
listening there's no trap received.
I've followed all the steps in the doc's.....but still stuck up with
snmptrapd not responding to the snmp traps.
Does any one know what would be wrong here.

looking forward to ur thoughts,
nKaranuk
