com2sec and source=default

Hello,

When setting up access control and you're setting the value for the "source" 
column, what does the keyword "default" actually mean?

Is the same as saying 0.0.0.0 or is it a word you can define somewhere else 
or ... ?

Sorry if I'm being a bit dense, I can't seem to find anywhere what "default" 
in this context means.
