Hi,

Not sure that could help, but I had an un-identified bug, that seems 
analogous (Net-SNMP 5.3.0.1)
My agent throws initial Traps and then hangs without anymore....
The only symptom I could see, is to use both IPv4 AND IPv6 MIB-II on a dual 
stack standard Kernel 2.6 Linux.
For it was not blocking at tahat time, I leaved it up....
