table_info->max_column

Hi all,
someone could explain me what is the meaning of
"table_info->max_column", as changing it,
the agent has several behaviour (in the worst case, my GEt fail).
I intended it as follows:
 
Number of rows * Number of columns      in the MIB result table.
 
Is it correct?
