error in executing executable

Hi!
Well i have been trying to compile and run the "snmpdemoapp" example
given on the website....Compilation was successful. But whenever i try
to execute it,  following error was displayed....
[root@localhost ~]# ./snmpdemoapp
./snmpdemoapp: error while loading shared libraries: libnetsnmp.so.8:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I even tried ldconfig but it provided no help.
