See: http://www.nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php?faq_id=28 The MIB doesn't have to be compiled. All you need to do is put the two MIB files in the mibs folder (probably /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs) and run snmptrapd to receive the traps.
