When to use AgentX and when to use shared library

Hi,

I have a need to let other parties plug in their mib implementations. As
I read, I have 2 options: using shared libraries or agentX.

What's the pros and cons between the 2 approaches?

Is there any guideline suggesting which to use?

I'd appreciate your comments and share of knowledge.
