No response to snmpwalk from SNMPD while some number of traps are generated

Hi,
 
We are using Net-snmp-5.2.2 as Master agent and AGENTX Subagent. 
We observed that snmpwalk on application MIBs doesn't get any response
for sometime while subagent was forwarding number of traps to SNMPD.
SNMPD itself was not forwarding the snmpwalk/getnext requests to
subagent during this time This was evident from our subagent logs.
However all the traps are received successfully at SNMPTRAPD. 
 
Did anyone observe similar kind of behavior of SNMPD while processing
traps.
Can anyone please let me know if this (SNMPD not responding for sometime
while processing a bunch of traps) is really a problem/bug in SNMPD.
Any info on this will be really appreciated.
