How to find process zombies / get the process status?

Hi, Is it possible to get the process status via SNMP from processes? For example, we have trouble with "vixie-cron". I want to check the status of this daemon via SNMP. I found a Object Type "hrSWRunStatus" with status: running 1, runnable 2, notRunnable 3, invalid 4.
