Error in disbaling ethernet card

Hi ALL, 
My problem is i am not able to disbale my ethernet card via snmpset 
command of net-snmp i am using 5.2 release on linux. 

1. The MIB indicates that ifAdminStatus has RW permission, but does not 
allow to do. 
2. In FAQ it also says that public or private community cannot set use 
snmpset application. 
hence i created agentuser arun 
then issued 
snmpset -v 2c -c arun localhost interfaces....ifAdminStatus.7 i 2 
but it throws nowritable error. 

First thing i am not user if the command specified is write or wrong as i 
am replacing public ie community name with user name 

Could some please help me in out in acheving the my goal.
