Newbie: help required for mib2c config file

Hi,

I am newbie to netsnmp. I need to develop a snmp agent for redhat linux 
machine.
The linux machine come with the Netsnmp version 5.1.x.

a) Can i use the netsnmp 5.2.x for developing an snmp sub agent for this 
machine and add it to work with redhat original agent

b) if Not, can i use the Mib2c mfd config file with netsnmp 5.1.x?

c) Also can anybody suggest me that which configuration file is easiest 
to use for 5.1.x version.

d) Can i generate the code for scalar also or i have to use the sample 
code to write new code for scalar and mib2c only generate
for the tables?
