Mster-Sub agent connectivity issues.

Hey, It seems that if my master agent and sub-aganet are up and working, and the master agent is shut down , and then started again, the sub-agent is still working properly. (meaning that requests are passed from the master to the sub-agent). 1) How can this happen?
