Hello. I'm reading the docs about net-snmp, and I have a little program (from the examples) to query values to an agent. I will convert this little program into a lib, and use it in my own system (my system, I mean my software) monitor. I have however a little problem to figure out how to make an agent. I have some processes that calculate positions from radar tracks, and I need to know statistics about (how many tracks, how many union-tracks (tracks that seems the same track viewed from two radars), performance, net usage (from the radar itself to my software) the software. This runs from several radar stations in different locations along my country coast, networked with some "command & control" stations. These stations need to know that statistics and I think SNMP is the best way to do it. The routers and other harware already have their snmp agents, but I need to create one for each process running in the machine, and there are some. Where can I begin to read to make a little lib to expose some values? I've found docs to expand the NET-SNMP agent, but not to make another, and I think the NET-SNMP agent is too big for my needs.
