Was the agent configured to include the Host Resources module?
It wasn't part of the default configuration until fairly recently.  I
can't remember whether 5.2.x includes this by default or not - I
suspect not.

net-snmp-config --configure-options

should report what configuration was used.
(That may not be quite the right incantation - see the error message
for the exact parameter to use).
