extracting values from fields

Hello All
I am using the following pieces of software
Trapgen
Snmtpd (net-snmp)
Trapgen sends a trap to snmpd which then forwards the data to a
traphandle which then invokes another script.
What I would like to do is extract the value from the string field and
put it into nagios.
Can anyone please advise me how to do this?
trapgen.exe -d <ip_address>:162 -c public -o ^ 1.3.5.1.4.1.2789.4025.1
-i 172.16.6.13 -g 6 -s 4025 -t 124501 ^ -v 1.3.6.1.4.1.2789.4025.1 -S
