That's good to hear.  We look forward to seeing the results.
A couple of questions:
  - which version of the code are you working with?
      (and which code files - mibgroup/mibII or mibgroup/if-mib)
  - do you know what license applies to the original Avantcom code?
      (if this was GPL or LGPL code, then that might be a problem - as
well to be clear right from the start).
