I'd strongly suggest that you use

   rocommunity public

instead, and *don't* give global write access to the "public" community.
There's a limit to the amount of damage that can be done via SNMP, but
this is non-zero (and generally increasing).  You don't really want
the whole world being able to fiddle with your systems!

If you do use "rwcommunity", choose something non-obvious for the
community string.
Or better, (once you've come to terms with the basics of SNMP) look
into SNMPv3 which is *MUCH* more secure.
