I don't believe it's these settings.
I downloaded the 5.2.3 source and compared against 5.3.1.
These two pieces hasn't changed.

I tried figure out if the problem is in Linux. I found "/proc/net/dev" that
updates continuously the values for traffic.
(try "watch -n1 -d cat /proc/net/dev").

I'm still suspecting that "30 seconds refresh" is inside the sources.
