read-create variable

hello,

This following is the MIB extraction of OID rip2IfConfAuthType , which is
read-creatable

  STATUS        current
  DESCRIPTION   "The type of Authentication used on this
           interface."
  DEFVAL        { noAuthentication }
::= { iso(1) org(3) dod(6) internet(1) mgmt(2) mib-2(1) rip2(23)
rip2IfConfTable(3) rip2IfConfEntry(1) 3 }

When I create a new one,

[root@Yuvraj ~]# snmpset -v 2c -c accton 10.10.10.10
rip2IfConfAuthType.5.5.5.5 i 2
Error in packet.
Reason: (genError) A general failure occured
Failed object: RIPv2-MIB::rip2IfConfAuthType.5.5.5.5

Plz, tell me, what could be the problem.
