And if that still doesn't work, have a look in 'config.log' for where configure tests for the presence of the IPv6 stack. If it's not detecting this stack correctly, then this problem needs to be fixed before proceeding. If configure fails to detect a necessary feature, there's no point in compiling the code and expecting this feature to work.
