Hello list, We are using NET-SNMP-5.2.2. Recently we had faced a problem in reconnecting the SubAgent with master agent. All of a sudden the time at which subagent retries to connect to SNMPD has become very huge. Because of this SubAgent was not able to communicate with SNMPD. Later we realized that, we had changed the system time with date command. Code walk through of snmp_select_info() and run_alarms() seems to be calculating the elapsed time based on gettimeofday() system call, and this is resulting in the PING alarm postponed for a long time. In our case we have changed the system to past. Is there any other way to get the elapsed time? Is our correlation correct? Any light on this will be helpful.
