That depends on why it never received a response to the first request. If the first response was lost by the network, then it will only receive one response. If the first request took a "long time" to process (and the client got impatient and resent the request), then it will probably receive duplicate responses. The master agent does not detect duplicate requests. I believe that the clients probably do detect duplicate responses, though the "one-shot" commands would typically have quit before receiving them.
